The timeline displays your life horizontally, with years along the axis and Mahadasha periods shown as colored bands. Each Mahadasha is color-coded using the traditional Vedic planet colors — Sun in gold, Moon in silver, Mars in red, Mercury in green, Jupiter in yellow, Venus in pink, Saturn in blue, Rahu in smoky grey, and Ketu in brown. The width of each band is proportional to the Mahadasha duration.

Within each Mahadasha band, Antardashas are shown as sub-sections, allowing you to see the rhythm of sub-period transitions across each major period. A vertical marker indicates your current position on the timeline, instantly showing your active Mahadasha and Antardasha. Hovering or tapping any period reveals a summary card with the period dates and Jyothi's interpretation. You can zoom into specific year ranges for detailed Antardasha and Pratyantar analysis.

What sets Kaala's Dasha Timeline apart from standard Dasha calculators is the AI interpretation layer. For each period, Jyothi receives the complete chart context: the Dasha ruler's sign, house, dignity, aspects, conjunctions, house lordships, and the Antardasha ruler's equivalent data. This structured astrological data is then interpreted through classical Jyotish rules to produce predictions.

The predictions cover five life domains: career and professional growth, relationships and marriage, health and vitality, finances and wealth, and spiritual development. Each domain receives a specific prediction grounded in the chart data, not a generic planet description. For example, instead of saying 'Jupiter Mahadasha brings wisdom,' Jyothi might say 'Jupiter in your 10th house in Cancer brings career recognition through teaching, mentoring, or advisory roles during 2027-2043, with particular advancement during Jupiter-Venus Antardasha (2030-2033) when your 7th lord's involvement suggests partnership-based professional success.'
